Andrea Cocciarelli is the new intern for the PRIO Centre on Gender, Peace and Security (PRIO GPS-Centre), as of 16th January.
They are an MA student at University of Oslo (UiO) in Gender Studies. Following a BA in Modern Languages for Intercultural Communication from Roma Tre University, from which they graduated summa cum laude. Their BA thesis is a corpus-based linguistic analysis of gender- and queer-specific language and its diachronic evolution in the "Lavender Languages and Linguistics Conferences". Their BA explored Linguistics and Mediation, focusing on English and Russian languages, culture, and translation, as well as Gender and Media studies.
